Use Manual Task and Call steps when a rep needs to take action.

Task Types

Call Task

Creates a nonblocking call task for the assigned rep. The Flow Enrollment continues without waiting for the call to be logged.

Generic Task

Creates a manual task for any non-automated work.

Execution

When a prospect reaches a Manual Task step:
  1. A task appears in the Tasks page of the web app.
  2. The assigned user completes, skips, or reviews the task based on the task type.
  3. Wait for completion is off by default. A Manual Task blocks later work only when enabled. Call Tasks never block later actions.
Use Wait for completion when the next step should not run until the Manual Task is completed or skipped. Leave it off for a reminder that should not block later automation.

Delay Behavior

The delay belongs to the task action. For a blocking Manual Task, the delay and task completion both hold the next action, and that elapsed delay can count toward a later LinkedIn chat minimum. For a nonblocking Manual Task, its delay does not hold the flow or count toward that minimum.
