Exclusion Lists act as a safety firewall. First Touch checks every prospect against these lists before enrolling them in a flow or sending an email. If a match is found, the action is blocked immediately.
Access Control: Only Team Owners and Admins can view or modify exclusion lists. Member-level users cannot access this page.

Managing Exclusions

The Exclusion Lists page is divided into three tabs, each serving a specific protection layer.

Contacts (Emails)

Block specific individuals. Add email addresses manually or upload a CSV.
  • Use Case: Unsubscribes, personal contacts, or specific stakeholders you want to avoid.

Companies (Domains)

Block entire organizations. Add domains (e.g., competitor.com).
  • Effect: Blocks any contact with an email ending in this domain.
  • Use Case: Competitors, current customers, partners, or internal investors.

HubSpot Lists

Sync suppression from CRM. Select specific HubSpot lists (Contact, Company, or Deal lists) to act as dynamic exclusion lists.
  • Sync Frequency: These lists synchronize automatically every 24 hours.
  • Use Case: Automatically block companies with “Open Deals” or contacts marked “Do Not Contact” in HubSpot.

Import Options

You can populate your lists using three methods:
  1. Manual Entry: Type or paste emails/domains one by one.
  2. CSV Upload: Upload a file (max 10MB). The system will automatically map headers like “Email” or “Domain”.
  3. HubSpot Sync: Select lists from the “HubSpot Lists” tab (requires active HubSpot integration).
