CRITICAL: Read Before You Start If you ignore everything else in this guide, you must complete Step 1 and Step 2.Failing to disconnect other social tools or remove conflicting extensions is the #1 cause of account issues.

Step 1: Disconnect Other Automations 🚨

Status: MANDATORY You cannot run two social tools at the same time. It is dangerous to have another platform trying to control your account while First Touch is active. Action Required:
  1. Cancel/Pause any active subscriptions to other Social automation tools.
  2. Wait 72 Hours: Some tools continue running background tasks or hold onto your session tokens even after you stop them.
  3. Log Out Everywhere: Log out of your social account on all devices (Desktop & Mobile) to force-revoke access to these tools.
🚫 Common Automation Platforms to Disconnect:
  • HeyReach
  • Dripify
  • Valley
  • Expandi
  • SalesRobot
  • Taplio (if auto-DM features are on)

Step 2: Remove Risky Extensions 🧩

Status: MANDATORY Even if you aren’t using them, having certain extensions installed in your browser can flag your account. These tools often modify code (“DOM Injection”) or scrape data in a way that creates a high-risk footprint. If you see any “overlays” that change the website or add functionality, these are considered risky and you should consider removing them. Action Required: Go to chrome://extensions and remove (not just disable) the following types of tools: 🚫 Scraping & Data Extensions:
  • PhantomBuster
  • Skrapp
  • Lusha (specifically bulk scraping features)
  • Seamless.ai
🚫 Inbox & Overlay Extensions:
  • Kondo
  • Unbox
  • Closely

Step 3: Build Your Foundation 🧱

Goal: Ensure your account is mature enough for activation.
  • The 100 Connection Milestone: If you have a brand new account or fewer than 100 connections, we recommend connecting manually first.
  • Why? Reaching 100 connections manually establishes you as a real, active user. Once you hit this number, you are ready to start!

Step 4: The “Warm-Up” Schedule 📈

Goal: Increase activity naturally over time. Just like training for a marathon, you don’t want to sprint on day one. We recommend this comfortable ramp-up schedule for your Connection Requests, Messages, and Profile Views:
TimelineDaily Limit Recommendation
Week 110 actions per day
Week 220 actions per day
Week 3+30 actions per day

(Optional) Step 5: Enable “Agent Hours” ☕

Goal: Separate your manual browsing from FirstTouch’s agent. This is our favorite pro-tip for total peace of mind. You can set FirstTouch to run only when you aren’t using social.
  • How it works: In your user settings, set your Agent Hours (Operating Hours) to times when you are away from your desk (e.g., early morning or evening).
  • The Benefit: This ensures you never accidentally “bump into” the bot. If you are browsing social at 2 PM, and the agent tries to send a message at 2 PM, it creates overlapping activity. “Agent Hours” solves this completely.

Step 6: Launch Flows! 🚀

You’re all set! By verifying that steps 1 and 2 are complete, you have eliminated the biggest risks to your account security. You are ready to launch your first flow.
