The First Touch Chrome Extension is your in-browser sales assistant. It activates whenever you view a prospect’s profile on a supported site and provides real-time insights and actions in a sidebar. This section details each feature of the extension in the order you’d typically use them.

Overview

Once installed and logged in, the extension sidebar will appear on the right side of your browser on sites like LinkedIn (Sales Navigator and standard LinkedIn profiles), Outreach, HubSpot, Salesloft, and others. It automatically gathers relevant information about the person and their company, and gives you tools to act on that information without switching tabs. What you can do with the extension:
  • Prospect Research: Automatically see key details and talking points about the person you’re viewing (pulled via AI from their profile and around the web).
  • Email Outreach: Generate tailored 1:1 email drafts for the prospect, which you can send directly from the sidebar.
  • LinkedIn Messaging: Draft a personalized LinkedIn connection note or message for the prospect.
  • Call and Tasks: Get a quick call script or talking points for a call, and log call tasks.
  • Value Plan: Generate a mini “value hypothesis” for the prospect – why you’re reaching out and how you can help them.
  • Enrichment: Find the prospect’s email or phone number if it’s not readily available.
  • Add to Flow: Enroll the prospect into an automated flow (campaign) for multi-step outreach.
The goal of the extension is to keep you in one place while you research, personalize, and reach out to prospects. Below we dive into each capability.

Prospect Research

When you open a prospect’s profile, First Touch automatically performs Prospect Research and displays the findings in the sidebar. This research panel is designed to give you a quick but comprehensive understanding of who the prospect is and what they care about.
  • Profile Summary: First Touch pulls key details from the prospect’s online profile – such as their title, company, location, work history, and education – and uses AI to generate a concise summary of the prospect. In a few sentences, you get a quick sense of who they are and why they might be a fit for your product.
  • Recent Social Posts: The extension looks for any recent posts the prospect has made on LinkedIn (or other social platforms if applicable). It shows up to a few of their latest posts, each with a short AI-generated title or takeaway. This lets you quickly gauge what topics the prospect is talking about or interested in. (If no recent posts are found, the extension will indicate that there’s nothing to show in this section.)
  • Podcasts or Media Mentions: First Touch also searches for any podcast appearances, interviews, or news/media mentions of the prospect or their company. If found, a couple of relevant mentions are displayed with brief summaries. This can reveal if the prospect or their company has been in the news or sharing thought leadership.
  • Additional Research: Depending on the prospect, First Touch may show other insight cards (for example, funding news about their company, recent hiring trends, or technology stack information) if those are available. These insights help you tailor your conversation to the prospect’s context.
All of this information is compiled in seconds, saving you from manually researching the prospect across multiple sites. Use it to personalize your outreach – reference a recent post or congratulate them on a company milestone, for example.
