Sometimes you have a great prospect but lack their contact info. The Enrichment tools in the extension help you find a prospect’s email address and phone number with a click, using trusted data providers.
  • Email Lookup: If the prospect’s email isn’t already known or populated in First Touch, click the Unlock Email button. First Touch will search through multiple data sources (like third-party databases) to find a valid email for the person. This happens in a “waterfall” manner – it tries one source, and if not found, moves to the next, until an email is found. If a likely email is found, it will be displayed in the sidebar and added to the prospect’s profile in First Touch. All emails go through verification checks before they are shown to you, so you only get emails that passed validity tests (to reduce bounces).
  • Email Validation: For any email found (or any email you might input manually), First Touch uses multiple verification methods to ensure the email is valid (mailbox exists, not a known hard bounce, etc.). If the system cannot find a validated email, it will indicate that no valid email was found, rather than giving you a bad contact.
  • Phone Lookup: Similarly, click Unlock Phone to search for the prospect’s phone number. First Touch will look for a direct dial (personal work number or mobile) if possible, and if not, it might return a general company phone as a fallback. Any number retrieved is checked for basic validity/format. The phone number, if found, will be displayed and added to the prospect’s info for use in call tasks.
  • Credit Usage: Enrichment actions may consume “credits” depending on your First Touch plan. Typically, each successful email or phone lookup uses up one credit (failed lookups usually do not count). First Touch avoids duplicate charges by caching results – if someone in your organization already looked up that prospect’s info, it should not charge a second time for the same data. You can monitor your available enrichment credits in your account if applicable.
Using Enrichment, you can quickly fill in missing contact details and reach out via multiple channels. It’s all done within the extension, so you don’t have to resort to separate tools for data mining.
