The Email Step is the most common action in First Touch flows. It allows you to send automated, highly personalized emails to prospects at scale.

Configuration

When you add an email step, you will configure three main areas:

Threading

You can choose how this email appears in the prospect’s inbox:
  • New Thread: Sends the email with a fresh subject line.
  • Reply to Previous: Sends the email as a reply to the previous email in the flow (Re: Subject). This is highly recommended for follow-ups as it boosts open rates.

Content & Messaging

This is where you define what the email says. You can use our AI Prompt Editor to generate unique messages for every prospect, or use static text.

Sending Settings

  • Human Approval: Toggle this on if you want to review this specific email before it sends. It will appear in your Tasks queue.
  • Stop on Reply: Enabled by default. If a prospect replies to any email in the sequence, the rest of the flow stops automatically for them.
