LinkedIn automation works best when treated as a marathon, not a sprint. To keep your account safe and your outreach effective, you must follow these warming procedures.
The Golden Rule: Never use other LinkedIn automation tools alongside First Touch. Conflicting login attempts and actions will almost certainly trigger a restriction from LinkedIn.
1. The Warm-Up Schedule
If you are new to automation, or if your account is relatively new, do not max out your limits on Day 1. We recommend this ramp-up schedule to simulate natural growth:
- Week 1: Limit to 5 requests/day.
- Week 2: Increase to 10 requests/day.
- Week 3+: Gradually increase to 15–20/day until you reach your target volume.
2. Flow Configuration Tips
- Auto Delays: First Touch will automatically insert 3-hour time delays in between LinkedIn actions to protect your account and ensure adequate time for reply tracking.
- Connection Withdrawals: Setting a 1-day delay for a connection request withdrawal is often too short. We recommend 7–14 days to give the prospect time to accept before the flow moves on or withdraws the request.
3. Connection Requirements
If your LinkedIn account is brand new (created this week), do not use automation yet. You must establish a baseline of authentic activity first:
- Complete your profile (Photo, Headline, Summary).
- Spend a few weeks manually connecting with colleagues, friends, and classmates.
- **Do not **activate First Touch automation until you have at least 100 connections.
