This agent performs web research about the prospect or company to gather intel. In flows, you might use an AI Researcher step near the beginning of a sequence to answer your Key Prospect Question for each prospect automatically. The Researcher will search online and in your databases to produce an answer, which can then be used to personalize emails in the flow. For example, if your Key Question is “What is something unique about this prospect’s background?”, the Researcher agent might find that information (perhaps the prospect’s recent achievement or a detail from their bio) and feed it into the email draft. This ensures every email touches on a personally relevant point. The Researcher agent uses the question you set in your Knowledge Base as a default, but you can customize the research question per flow if needed. Only one Researcher step is typically allowed per flow branch (you wouldn’t run it multiple times in a single sequence).
