The Knowledge base tab (under Settings > Knowledge base) contains the core content the AI draws on every time it generates or refines an outreach message. Keep it current and your generated messages will stay accurate.
Admin-controlled lock. An admin can lock the Knowledge base so that team members cannot edit it. If you see a banner reading “Knowledge base edits have been locked. Contact your admin to make changes”, the fields will be read-only for your account.

Web Research

The Web Research section defines the research question First Touch tries to answer about each prospect before generating outreach. It searches publicly available online sources (10-Ks, news, hiring trends, case studies, business models) — LinkedIn data is excluded. You can choose from a set of preset questions, or write your own:
PresetWhat it finds
Who does this company sell to and how do they make money?Business model and target customer context.
Can you find a case study or testimonial quote from the prospect’s company?Social proof the prospect’s company has published.
What is something interesting or unique about the prospect’s background?A personal talking point for the intro.
To use a custom question, click the dropdown and select Add your custom question, then type your question. Custom questions are free-form (max 200 words).
Review AI research before generating outreach — it is based on publicly available data and should be verified before use.

What You Sell

A description of the products or services you offer. The AI uses this to position your offering against each prospect’s context. Keep this concise and up to date. If your offering changes, update this field and subsequent AI generations will reflect it immediately.
Example: “We provide an AI-driven logistics platform that helps e-commerce brands reduce shipping costs by 15% through predictive routing.”

Who You Sell To

The personas, industries, or company types you target — your ideal customer profile. The AI uses this to assess fit and to tailor messaging to the right buyer language.
Example: “Enterprise retailers and mid-market logistics providers with 50+ warehouse locations.”

Case Studies

Key proof points and short case studies. Add a few one-liners that the AI can reference when building credibility in a message.
Example: “Helped ACME Corp reduce churn by 20% by streamlining their onboarding process.”
