# Exclusion Lists

> Block outreach to specific contacts, company domains, and synced HubSpot lists.

**Exclusion Lists** block outreach to specific contacts, company domains, and synced HubSpot lists.

## Tabs

The Exclusion Lists page is divided into three tabs.

<CardGroup cols={1}>
  <Card title="Contacts (Emails)" icon="envelope" color="#3c5d29">
    Block individual email addresses.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Companies (Domains)" icon="building" color="#3c5d29">
    Block entire company domains.
  </Card>

  <Card title="HubSpot Lists" icon="hubspot" color="#FF7A59">
    On paid plans, sync supported HubSpot contact, company, or deal lists as live exclusion sources.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

## Add Exclusions

You can add exclusions in two ways:

1. **Add Emails / Domains:** Paste emails and domains in the same list, one per line.
2. **Upload CSV:** Upload a file up to **1 MB** and **1000 records**. Map email and domain columns before importing.

Duplicate entries are handled where supported, emails are matched case-insensitively, and domains are normalized when possible.

## Search And Filters

On the Contacts and Companies tabs, search matches any part of an email address or domain.

You can also filter by source:

* Manual
* CSV
* HubSpot
* Bounce detected

## Bounce Handling

Hard-bounced emails are automatically added to contact exclusions with source **Bounce detected**.

## HubSpot Sync

Synced HubSpot lists show status **Syncing**.
These lists stay connected as live exclusion sources and refresh automatically about every 24 hours.

## Flow Behavior

Excluded prospects are checked before outreach.
If a prospect becomes excluded while active in a flow, First Touch stops that prospect from progressing.

Removing an exclusion does not undo completed outreach. It only affects future checks after the relevant flow or audience processes again.
