# Research

> Prospect overview, web research, social posts, and selected company details.

When you open a supported prospect profile, First Touch performs **Prospect Research** and displays available findings in the sidebar.

  Sales Navigator profile research is not supported. Open the prospect's standard LinkedIn profile instead.

## Research Components

Research is organized into the following supported sections:

    Funding and technology details when available.

The extension does not provide a podcast section or a general company-news feed in this research view.

## Using Research Data

All of this information is compiled instantly to save you from tab-switching and manual searching.

    * **Find a Hook:** Reference a relevant item from **Social Posts**.
    * **Answer a Question:** Use the configured **Web Research** answer after reviewing its source.
    * **Show Relevance:** Use available funding or technology details when they support your outreach.
